Identity is not just what you say about yourself. Identity is what you practice.

If you practice lying, lying becomes part of your identity. If you practice avoiding responsibility, avoidance becomes part of your identity. If you practice courage, courage becomes part of your identity. If you practice repair, repair becomes part of your identity.

You may carry stories from your family, culture, school, friendships, pain, or past. Some of those stories may give you strength. Some may limit you. Some may not even belong to you anymore.

Spirit asks you to look at the stories and masks you carry. A mask might be toughness, humor, silence, confidence, perfection, or acting like nothing matters. A mask may have protected you at one point, but it does not have to make your choices forever.

Your identity is not just something you find. It is something you build through what you practice.
